Kari Valentine began her legal career in 2000 and has extensive experience representing healthcare providers in civil trials and appeals, as well as regulatory and transactional matters. Ms. Valentine brings a high level of proficiency in litigation portfolio management. Prior to joining Hamlin & Burton, Ms. Valentine was a Senior Vice President at a long-term care corporation with operations in 21 states, later serving in an executive role for the Florida State University System’s self-insurance programs. In each role, Ms. Valentine was responsible for evaluating all general and professional liability claims and was frequently called upon to liaise with government relations experts to provide summary briefs regarding proposed legislation, rule changes, and executive orders affecting risk exposures to the healthcare community. Ms. Valentine received her Juris Doctorate and undergraduate degrees from the University of Florida.
